Women's Basketball Announces 2019-20 Schedule

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team has released its 2019-20 schedule.
 
The Warhawks, coming off their 11th appearance in the NCAA Tournament over the last 12 years, will face Division I Wisconsin on Oct. 30 at the Kohl Center in Madison before opening the regular season Nov. 15-16 with the UW-Whitewater Holiday Inn Express & Suites/Country Inn & Suites Tip-Off Tournament.
 
UW-Whitewater faces Concordia Chicago to open the tournament before taking on perennial power DePauw (Ind.), which reached the second round of the national tournament last season.
 
The Warhawks play each of their next five contests at Kachel Gymnasium, including three straight against College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rivals Augustana (Nov. 20), Illinois Wesleyan (Nov. 23) and Elmhurst (Nov. 26). Illinois Wesleyan was a fellow NCAA qualifier in 2018-19.
 
UW-Whitewater hosts Finlandia (Mich.) Nov. 30 and Carroll on Dec. 10.
 
The Warhawks travel to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the Hoop N' Surf Tournament. The team will face Concordia Wisconsin on Dec. 19 and Spalding (Ky.) on Dec. 20.
 
UW-Whitewater heads to another neutral site tournament to take on St. Mary's (Minn.) and St. Thomas (Minn.) on Dec. 29-30 at JustaGame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells. The Tommies qualified for the Final Four last March.
 
The Warhawks kick off the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season Jan. 4 with a home game against UW-Eau Claire. After hosting UW-Stevens Point on Jan. 8, the team heads to its first true road game of the campaign at UW-River Falls on Jan. 11.
 
Following a trip to UW-La Crosse Jan. 15, UW-Whitewater hosts UW-Stout (Jan. 18) and UW-Platteville (Jan. 22), and visits 2018-19 NCAA third-round qualifier UW-Oshkosh on Jan. 25.
 
The Warhawks conclude January with a home game against UW-La Crosse on the 29th to start the second half of the conference slate. The regular season wraps up Feb. 22 at UW-Stout.
 
The WIAC Tournament is scheduled for the week of Feb. 24-29. The NCAA Tournament will begin March 6.
