Jimmy Engelhart (Brookfield, Wis./East) and freshman
Alex Gray (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) claimed the first slot in an intense 8-6 (5) affair to earn the third point heading into singles.

Gray continued his strong play into singles, notching the first Warhawks point in the fourth slot 6-3, 6-1. The Warhawks dropped the next three points, before Mitchell clinched the match in the fifth slot with a 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 victory. Junior
Zach Wood (Downers Grove, Ill./South) had split the first two sets of his match at No. 6, but the match was left unfinished after dual decision had been reached.
