The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team has been selected to finish third in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference during the 2019-20 season according to a preseason poll of the league's head coaches and athletic communications personnel.
The Warhawks tied for second in the league's regular season standings a year ago with a 10-4 record, and placed second in the WIAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed. UW-Whitewater finished the 2018-19 campaign with an 18-10 mark after reaching the first round of the NCAA Championship, the program's 11th national tournament appearance in the last 12 years.
The Warhawks return starting guards

Emily Schumacher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha South) this November. Raeder, a four-year member of the team's rotation, played more than 30 minutes per game and averaged 9.0 points per contest. Schumacher, a first team All-WIAC honoree, led the team in scoring with 12.0 points per game.

Keri Carollo enters her 18th season as head coach at UW-Whitewater. She has led the team to five WIAC championships, two conference tournament titles and 11 trips to the NCAA Tournament.
UW-Oshkosh is picked to defend its title, and is followed, in order, by UW-La Crosse, UW-Whitewater, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout, UW-Platteville, UW-Stevens Point and UW-River Falls.
