The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team looks to continue its strong play away from home in the coming days with games at UW-Eau Claire and at No. 4 UW-Oshkosh as the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference slate and regular season enter the final month.
The Warhawks (14-5 overall, 3-5 WIAC), who have won their last two road games, visit UW-Eau Claire Saturday at 5 p.m. and head to UW-Oshkosh Monday at 7 p.m. in a game postponed from Wednesday due to inclement weather.
UW-Whitewater split a pair of games last week, defeating UW-Platteville 88-80 on the road Wednesday before falling Saturday at home by an 82-63 score against second-place UW-La Crosse.
On Wednesday in Platteville, senior forward
Melvin Brown Jr. (Milwaukee, Wis./Vincent) broke the program's all-time scoring record with 47 points on 18-of-26 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds as the Warhawks held the Pioneers to 41.2 percent shooting.
On Saturday against the Eagles, senior guard
David Sachs (Highland Park, Ill./Highland Park) tallied a season-high 25 points, but UW-Whitewater was limited to 38.3 percent shooting and UW-La Crosse held a 14-point scoring margin in the second half to pull away.

UW-Eau Claire (10-9, 3-5) was swept last week in a pair of road games against the league's nationally ranked teams, including a 62-44 setback at No. 20 UW-Stevens Point on Saturday. Ben Widdes scored a team-high 14 points.
Cole Rabedeaux leads the Blugolds in scoring with 16.3 points per game, while Widdes also averages double figures with 12.6 points per contest. Both average a team-best 4.4 rebounds per game.
UW-Eau Claire won the first meeting against UW-Whitewater this season, posting a 69-65 win on Jan. 5 at Kachel Gymnasium behind 11-for-22 shooting from 3-point range. Sachs and senior guard
Mitchell Pfeifer (Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine) led the Warhawks with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
UW-Whitewater leads the all-time series, 64-54.

Last year's national runner-up, UW-Oshkosh (18-1, 8-0) has won 17 straight games entering its game Saturday against UW-Stout. The Titans topped UW-Eau Claire at home and UW-River Falls on the road last week.
Four players average between 14-16 points for UW-Oshkosh, including leading scorer Jack Flynn, who shoots 60.1 percent from the field and leads the team with 8.0 rebounds per affair. Ben Boots (15.8 ppg), Adam Fravert (14.1 ppg) and Brett Wittchow (14.1 ppg) also average double figures.
The Titans and Warhawks last played on Jan. 16, when UW-Oshkosh outlasted UW-Whitewater 82-75 at Kachel Gymnasium. Brown Jr. led the Warhawks with 27 points, and senior guard
