The No. 23 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team hosts a nationally ranked opponent Wednesday before starting Saturday with a stretch of playing four of its next five games on the road.
 
The Warhawks (12-3 overall, 1-3 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) host fifth-ranked UW-Oshkosh for a Top 25 showdown Wednesday at 7 p.m. The concludes the week Saturday with a trip to UW-River Falls at 5 p.m.
 
UW-Whitewater split a pair of conference games last week. The team bested UW-Stout 83-60 at Kachel Gymnasium behind advantages in points off turnovers (27-11) and second-chance points (16-7) and a 20-point performance from senior guard Andre Brown (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail).
 
The Warhawks held a nine-point lead late in the first half but were unable to hold the advantage in the second half Saturday in a 75-60 defeat at UW-La Crosse. Brown tallied 17 points to lead the team.

UW-Whitewater entered the week at No. 23 in the D3hoops.com Top 25. UW-Oshkosh is fifth, and UW-Stevens Point is ninth.
 
UW-Oshkosh (Wednesday, 7 p.m., Kachel Gymnasium)
 
Since a loss at Wheaton (Ill.) back on Nov. 17, the Titans (14-1, 4-0) have won 13 straight games, including a 91-56 victory over UW-River Falls last Saturday in Oshkosh.
 
UW-Oshkosh, which finished as the national runner-up last season, is led by Ben Boots, who averages 16.7 points and leads the team with 69 assists. Jack Flynn, who posted a double-double against UW-River Falls, averages 15.0 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds and shoots 62.9 percent from the floor.
 
The Titans hold a slim 96-94 advantage in the all-time series against the Warhawks. The two teams split a pair of contests a year ago, with the visiting team prevailing in both games. UW-Whitewater bested UW-Oshkosh 83-57 behind 15 made 3-pointers on Jan. 3, 2018. The Titans won the most recent meeting 69-67 at Kachel Gymnasium on Feb. 7, 2018.
 
UW-River Falls (Saturday, 5 p.m., River Falls, Wis.)
 
UW-River Falls (7-8, 0-4) has lost four straight games to open league play, including a 91-56 setback at UW-Oshkosh on Saturday.
 
Julian Jackson is one of three players averaging 12 or more points for the Falcons, pacing the team with 13.9 points per game. Austin Heidecker is averaging a double-double with 12.5 points and 11.4 rebounds per affair.
 
UW-Whitewater leads the all-time series against UW-River Falls, 75-46, but the Falcons have won the last eight meetings, including three last season. UW-River Falls claimed the most recent game by a 79-68 score in the first round of the WIAC Tournament on Feb. 21, 2018, in River Falls.
