The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team concluded competition Saturday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championships at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
 
Freshman Ryan Mitchell (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) knocked off his second straight seeded opponent in the singles draw, but was downed by third-seeded Chase Johnson of Gustavus Adolphus in his Round of 16 match.
 
Senior Jimmy Engelhart (Brookfield, Wis./East) and freshman Alex Gray (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) were downed by top-four seeded foes in their Round of 32 matches.
 
Freshman Noah Guillermo (Muskego, Wis./Marquette University HS) reached the semifinals of the consolation bracket with a 3-1 record for the day.
 
In doubles, Engelhart and Gray were bested 8-4 in their Round of 16 match against Gustavus Adolphus. Senior Brandon Dechter (Mundelein, Ill./Carmel Catholic) and junior Zach Wood (Downers Grove, Ill./South) reached the consolation final with four straight wins, but were downed 8-3 in the championship match against Luther (Iowa).
