The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team tied for the 10th highest score in program history Saturday night with a season-best 191.275 during a quad meet at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J.
Competing against Division I teams Rutgers and Ohio State and Division II West Chester (Pa.), the Warhawks posted a 48.300 on the floor exercise, good for the No. 8 score in program history.
Three UW-Whitewater gymnasts posted a 9.700 or higher in the event, including senior
Kate Mierow (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield Central), who placed 10th overall with a 9.725. Junior
Lisa O'Donnell (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) and sophomore
Acacia Fossum (Gladstone, N.D./Richardton-Taylor) tied for 11th with matching 9.700s, and junior
Franchesca Hutton (Shakopee, Minn./Main Street School of Performing Arts) collected a 9.675, good for a tie for 16th. Junior
Abby Helmke (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) rounded out Warhawk scoring with a 9.500, good for a tie for 20th.
UW-Whitewater moved to the vault, where it tied the No. 11 score in the program's record book with a 47.925. Sophomore
Lauren Marshall (Winthrop Harbor, Ill./Zion-Benton Township) continued her strong performance on the apparatus, tying the program's No. 13 all time score with a 9.750, good for a tie for seventh. Senior
Chloe Rehberg (Cary, IL/Cary-Grove) tallied a 9.700 to tie for 11th, and O'Donnell placed 17th with a 9.600. Junior
Erika Briscoe (Solon, Iowa/Solon) tied for 20th with a 9.525, and junior
Bailey Fitzpatrick (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) placed 23rd with a 9.350.

Christina Slack (Albrightsville, PA/Jim Thorpe) placed 20th with a 9.200 and freshman
Blaise Wilson (Thornton, Colo./Legacy) registered a 9.100 to finish 21st.
UW-Whitewater wrapped up the meet on the balance beam, where it scored a 47.950, the fifth-best mark in program history. Mierow tied for seventh and tied the No. 5 result in program history with a 9.750. Hutton (9.675) and Briscoe (9.625) finished tied for 12th and 14th, respectively. Jessi Rondeau (Norwood Young America, Minn./Central) placed 19th with a 9.375.
O'Donnell placed fourth in the all-around competition with a 38.150.
The Warhawks continue action Friday by hosting a tri-meet at the Harley Davidson Invitational. Competition against Division II Lindenwood (Mo.) and UW-Stout begins at 7 p.m. at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee.
