The 2011-12 Warhawks breezed through the first four rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament, claiming each of their first four contests by double-digit margins. UW-Whitewater downed MIT 71-56 in the national semifinal to set up a match-up against Cabrini in the championship game.

Trailing by 18 points in the second half, freshman guard Quardell Young sparked a comeback with eight points in a three-minute span, and D3hoops.com National Player of the Year Chris Davis hit a 3-pointer to tie the game and gave the team the lead for good two minutes later in a 63-60 victory.

The title gave Pat Miller his first as a coach and consensus Division III Coach of the Year honors. The Warhawks also tied the school record for wins in a season with a 29-4 record.

All alumni of the program are invited to the Alumni Day festivities and are encouraged to contact assistant coach Wes Bertram at BertramWS06@uww.edu if planning to attend.
