The 16th ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team improved to 19-6 with a 9-0 sweep of UW-Oshkosh Friday afternoon in Oshkosh.

The Warhawks sped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play.
Matt Zurowski (West Bend, Wis./East) and
Matt Bisbee (Chicago, IL/Marist) set the tone, winning their three doubles match 8-0. The number one doubles team of
Scott Butler (Eagan, MN/Eagan) and
Michael Schnarr (Madison/Memorial) improved to 5-1 when playing together with an 8-1 victory. The duo of
Rory Calabria (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) and
Jimmy Engelhart (Brookfield, Wis./East) won for the eighth time when they took down the number two doubles team 8-2.

Flights three through six in singles won in straight sets. Both Zurowski and Englehart dropped just one game in their victories.

Bisbee, playing number one singles for just the second time this season, won a thriller, taking down Vincent Gorski in three sets. Schnarr battled back from a set down to win at two singles and improved to 13-6 on the season.

UW-Whitewater will remain in Oshkosh to compete on Saturday against UW-La Crosse at 9 am and UW-Eau Claire at 1 pm. The Warhawks will wrap up regular season play on May 1 when they travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to take on Coe College.
