Related Links:Play4Kay Web Page The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team will wear pink and raise funds Wednesday to support breast cancer awareness and research at its 7 p.m. game against UW-Platteville at Kachel Gymnasium.
Join the Warhawks and UW-Whitewater's chapter of Colleges Against Cancer by wearing pink and participating in Pass The Bucket and 50-50 raffle initiatives to support the American Cancer Society. Survivors of breast cancer will also be recognized during the contest.
Wednesday's event is a part of a nationwide effort on behalf of Play4Kay, an initiative to support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Yow is a former head women's basketball coach at North Carolina State University who passed away in 2009 following her third fight against breast cancer.
