The No. 2 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team will begin postseason play this Thursday at 7 p.m. against UW-Eau Claire in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference semifinal at Kachel Gymnasium.
The Warhawks (22-3 overall) are the tournament's top seed, while the Blugolds (11-15) are the No. 6 seed. UW-Eau Claire defeated third-seeded UW-River Falls 81-79 in overtime Tuesday night to clinch their first berth in the semifinals since 2008.
Tickets for the game can be purchased prior to tipoff Thursday night. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for students at WIAC schools.
UW-Whitewater students who live on-campus or are residents of DLK Enterprises properties can pick up a free ticket at either Goodhue Hall or the DLK Enterprises office located at 144 Tratt St. These complimentary tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Free tickets are also available in the department of intercollegiate athletics, which is located in the Williams Center, room 112.
