Box Score OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Whitewater men's basketball team defeated UW-Oshkosh, 86-55, Wednesday night at the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh, Wis.

Eric Bryson (Elkhorn/Elkhorn) led all scorers with 15 points and
Reggie Hearn (Milwaukee/Marshall) recorded 14 points and eight rebounds on the night. The Warhawks shot 55.2% (32-58) from the field including 66.7% (12-18) from behind the arc. UW-W's (11-2, 2-2 WIAC) defense held the Titans (4-8, 0-4 WIAC) to just 37.5% (18-48) from the floor and 16.7% (3-18) from behind the arc.

Whitewater opened the game on fire, jumping out to a 23-6 lead at the 8:52 mark. Bryson made three three-pointers and Hearn was 3-3 with a dunk in the opening minutes to boost the Warhawks.

The Titans battled back, bringing the score back to 28-16 with 4:32 left to play in the first half. That was as close as they got as UW-W finished the half strong, extending its lead to 18, 36-18.

Alex Merg (Greendale/Greendale) opened the Warhawks' scoring in the second half, making a three pointer and a layup in the opening minutes to extend the lead to 21, 41-20.

UW-O came within 16 points in the second half but that's as close as the Warhawks would allow. UW-W posted its largest lead of 38 at the 5:28 mark in the second half.

UW-W outrebounded Oshkosh 42-23 and held a 36-20 advantage in points in the paint. Twelve Warhawks scored on the evening with 38 points coming off the bench.
Steve Egan (Omro/Omro) had eight points and seven rebounds and
Clay Stevens (Racine/Lutheran) was 3-4 for nine points.

UW-Whitewater will return to action when it hosts UW-Eau Claire Saturday in Kachel Gymnasium with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 pm.
