OLIVET, Mich.- The UW-W wrestling team went 2-1 at the Olivet College Comet Duals on Saturday.
Anthony Edgren (New Lisbon/New Lisbon),
Jimmy Nehls (Downers Grove, IL/North),
Tom Gerszewski (Crystal Lake, IL/Crystal Lake South) and
Shane Siefert (Mundelein, IL/Carmel) all went 3-0 on the day.

UW-Whitewater 21; Alma 18
In the opening match against Alma,
Conrad Bugay (Palatine, IL/Hersey) earned a 9-4 victory for the Warhawks in the 125 weight class and
Jimmy Nehls (Downers Grove, IL/North) defeated his opponent in the 133 class by a tally of 10-6 as UW-W took a 6-0 lead.
After a loss at 141 and a major decision loss at 149,
Tom Gerszewski (Crystal Lake, IL/Crystal Lake South) put the Warhawks back on track with a decision over Caleb Huff of Alma by a score of 9-2, giving UW-W a 9-7 lead.
T.J. Decker suffered a 5-3 loss in the 174 weight class and
Ryan Aprahamian (Mukwonago/Mukwonago) a 3-1 loss in the 184 class.
Shane Siefert (Mundelein, IL/Carmel) earned six points after his opponent was disqualified for flagrant misconduct. Alma also suffered a one point team deduction from the misconduct.
Anthony Edgren (New Lisbon/New Lisbon) finished the match with a pin in 4:25 for the final tally of 21-18.
UW-Whitewater 31; Heidelberg 7
Bugay won his second bout in the 125 weight class with a 6-4 decision and Nehls earned his second victory at 133 with a close 3-2 decision to put the Warhawks up 6-0.
Matt Adcock (Bloomingdale, IL/Lake Park) earned his first win of the day in the 141 bout with a 9-3 decision. A major decision at 149 followed by a decision at 157 narrowed the gap to 9-7.
At 165, Gerszewski pinned his opponent in 1:39 and
TJ Decker (Pewaukee/Pewaukee) earned his first win of the day in a close 3-1 bout in the 174 weight class.
Taylor Hildebrandt (Genoa City/Lake Geneva Badger) earned a major decision with a score 10-2 over Heidelberg's Matt Shurina.
Shane Siefert (Mundelein, IL/Carmel) won his second bout of the day in the 197 class with a 6-5 decision. Edgren pinned his second opponent, third in the season, in a mere 0:27 to bring the final score to 31-7 in favor of the Warhawks.
Olivet 19; UW-Whitewater 15
After losing the first bout in the 125 class, Nehls earned his third win of the day with an 8-3 decision at the 133 class to tie the match at three all.
The Comets took at 10-3 lead after a decision and major decision at 141 and 149, respectively. Gerszewski brought the Warhawks closer with a 4-2 win at 157.
Losses at 165, 174 and 184 put the tally at 19-6 with two bouts remaining. Seifert earned his third win of the day as he pinned Andrew Simpson in 2:06 and Edgren earned a 5-1 win at 285.
UW-Whitewater is now 3-2 on the season. UW-W and will face Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent UW-Stevens Point December 5 at 7 p.m.
