Whitewater blew out to a 17-0 lead in the first 3:47 of the game, with senior center
Chris Davis (Madison/East) scoring seven of those points, and UW-W never looked back. The Warhawks led 40-12 with 7:20 left in the half, and cruised to a 48-22 led at the half. The Warhawks lead was less than twenty points just once in the second half, 66-47 at the end of a Warrior 13-0 run at 9:33.
Davis led the Warhawks with 23 points, hitting 10-15 shots from the floor and going 3-3 from the line, and also led both teams with nine rebounds. Sophomore guard
Cody Odegaard (Poynette/Poynette) added 15 points and junior forward
Luke Knoble (Boscobel/Boscobel) 14. Knoble did not miss a shot in game, making all four of his field goals and his six free throw attempts. Sophomore guard
Eric Bryson (Elkhorn/Elkhorn) had five assists, tops in the game.
Guard Tim Demuth led the Warriors, 1-2, with 13 points on 5-9 shooting, including 2-4 from beyond the arc. Forward Alex Merbach contributed 12 points, and shared the rebounding lead for WLC with Demuth, at four.
UW-W will travel to Saint Paul, Minnesota for a date with Hamline University Sunday at 3:00. The next home game for the Warhawks will be Wednesday, November 23 at 7:00 with Illinois Wesleyan University visiting Kachel Gym in Williams Center.
