Junior captian, Jamie Swanson (Fox Lake, IL/Grant Community), recently spent an afternoon with members of the Boy's and Girl's Club in Janesville. The Boy's and Girl's Club was celebrating June as "Fitness Month" and Swanson volunteered to help cap off the month by talking with the kids and doing activities.

Jamie spent some time talking with the kids about the importance of health and fitness and answered questions. Afterward, she showed the kids how they can stay active with a number of basketball drills.

Following the drills, the kids participated in dribble relay races, a game of dribble tag, and a game of lightening. Each participant received a Warhawk pennant and Warhawk basketball t-shirts were given to the winners of each contest. 

Visiting the Boy's and Girl's Club is just one of the many community service events the women's basketball team takes part in each year.
