FISKUM FIELD
Fiskum Field, a natural grass turf with seating for 1,700, opened for the 2008 season. The facility includes lighting, a graphic scoreboard, sound system, player dugouts and benches, and a press box with a video deck. The playing surface measures 116 yards long by 78 yards wide. It is only used for the Warhawk intercollegiate soccer games, totaling approximately twenty-five contests a season. The field is in pristine condition because it is not used for practices and the track teams do not use the soccer playing surface. The field is maintained with a professional striping pattern. Restrooms for the Kachel Family Multi-Sport Complex were added in 2016.
The field is named for Robert Fiskum, men’s soccer coach 1988-98, who directed the Warhawks to 103 wins and nine winning seasons. His distinguished tenure at UW-W included coaching three other sports and teaching in the Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Coaching Department. Fiskum Field hosted NCAA tournament games in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
