Wes Bertram enters his third season as an assistant coach and the video coordinator for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team in 2016-17. Bertram is also highly involved in camp operations.
In 2014-15, during Bertram's first season as an assistant coach, the Warhawks claimed the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships. UW-Whitewater finished 24-4 overall and 15-1 in the WIAC, a program record for conference victories in one season.
During his stint as a student assistant with the Warhawks from 2012-14, Bertram assisted in several aspects of the program, including film editing and analysis, scouting, statistical breakdown, recruiting, camp administration and workout organization. Bertram's tenure as a student assistant included consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament, including a national title in 2014.
Bertram has worked several basketball camps over his career, including stops at Purdue University, Creighton University, the University of Indiana, the University of Illinois and the University of Iowa. He is a member of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.
A native of Appleton, Wis., Bertram graduated from UW-Whitewater with a bachelor's in business administration (marketing). He is currently pursuing a master's in professional development (athletic administration emphasis) at UW-Whitewater.
