Josh Kanute (Geneva, Ill./Marmion Academy), Junior
Kanute placed third in three events over the weekend at the Phoenix 1-2-3 Invitational at UW-Green Bay. Competing against Division I UW-Green Bay and Division II St. Cloud State, Kanute finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.03 and third in the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:53.09. He was also 10th in the 100-yard freestyle with a result of 49.79. Kanute also helped lead four relays to top five finishes - the 400-yard freestyle (3rd, 3:17.22), the 200-yard medley relay (4th, 1:37.98), the 800-yard freestyle relay (4th, 7:22.02) and the 400-yard medley relay (5th, 3:37.87).
