Zach Franz (DeForest/DeForest Area), Senior, Defensive Lineman
Franz posted five tackles, including a sack for a loss of five yards, to help the sixth-ranked Warhawks down host UW-River Falls 42-6 last Saturday. On a drive late in the first quarter, he made a stop on a running play for no gain and, two plays later, recorded a sack on third down to force a punt. Franz made three other tackles over the course of the rest of the game, all on running plays of three yards or less. He helped UW-Whitewater hold the Falcons to just 2.7 yards per carry.
