Van Duyn was named Tournament Most Valuable Player after finishing first out of 154 competitors in five traditional games to help the No. 14 Warhawks place sixth at the 23-team Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack Invitational in Houston, Texas. She averaged a score of 230.2 in five traditional games to help UW-Whitewater finish with a 4-1 record on the second day of competition, including a thrilling 1012-1010 win over No. 7 Stephen F. Austin, when Van Duyn bowled two strikes and seven pins in the 10th frame to clinch the win
