Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Chris Nelson (Twin Lakes/Wilmot Union), Senior, Quarterback
Nelson totaled 93 passing yards and one touchdown while running for 17 yards Saturday to help the No. 2 Warhawks to a 48-6 victory at UW-Eau Claire. On UW-Whitewater's second drive of the game, he ran for 13 yards to help set up a field goal. Later in the first quarter and early in the second, he helped lead the Warhawks on a nine-play, 58-yard drive that led to a touchdown and a 17-0 lead. Nelson completed a four-yard touchdown pass to Tony Gumina(Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) with 1:46 left in the third quarter to account for the team's final score of the contest.
