Megan Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper), Junior
Humphreys placed fifth with a 2-1 record in the singles draw of the United States Tennis Association/Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Small College Championships in Sumter, S.C., over the weekend. She rebounded from a loss to the No. 1 seed and eventual champion with victories over fourth-seeded Summer Garrison of Lewis & Clark (Ore.) and Joy Kim of Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.). Humphreys has now recorded three straight top-five finishes at the tournament, placing fifth in 2013 and second in 2014. She is now 17-2 in singles for the year.
