Paul Foster (Janesville/Craig), Senior, Linebacker
Foster totaled six tackles, including 1.5 sacks, and posted a 29-yard interception return for a touchdown Saturday to help No. 2 UW-Whitewater to a 32-22 victory at previously unbeaten UW-La Crosse and take over sole possession of first place in the WIAC. Foster's pick, the fourth of his career, was his first career touchdown and put the Warhawks ahead 14-6 at the 6:45 mark of the second quarter. He recorded sacks early in the third quarter and late in the fourth quarter. Foster's second forced a fourth-and-long, which the Eagles failed to convert. All of his other tackles held running plays to six yards or fewer.
