Co-Special Teams Player of the Week
Ben McCarthy (Milwaukee, Wis./Franklin), Freshman, Linebacker
McCarthy made a tackle on the opening kickoff and helped the special teams units Saturday during No. 2 UW-Whitewater's 17-14 triumph over No. 5 UW-Oshkosh in front of a national record crowd of 17,535 at Perkins Stadium. McCarthy and the Warhawks' coverage units held the Titans to an average field position of their own 28-yard line in the second half. Specifically, the kickoff coverage unit held UW-Oshkosh to fewer than 20 yards per return.
