Pietila finished the week with a 3-0 record in singles play during the Warhawks' spring break trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C. On Friday against regional rival Carleton (Minn.), he stepped in at No. 6 singles due to an injury in the lineup and posted a 6-2, 6-1 triumph that gave UW-Whitewater a 4-1 advantage in the match. Pietila recorded straight-set wins at No. 5 singles against Union (N.Y.) and Wooster (Ohio) earlier in the trip. For the season, he is now 14-3 in singles play, including 10-1 in duals.
