Fossum won a pair of events and tied for fifth in another Friday to help the Warhawks to a season-opening 185.825-180.850 win at Hamline (Minn.). She claimed the uneven bars by a full tenth of a point with a 9.400, and finished first on balance beam by a tenth with her 9.625, five hundredths of a point shy of her career best. Fossum also tied for fifth on floor exercise with a 9.400. Her performance helped UW-Whitewater record the highest team score of any WIAC team so far in 2020.
