Fassbender won his third race of the season, remaining unbeaten by topping the 446-runner field at the Blugold Invitational last Friday at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wis. He posted an 8-kilometer time of 24:52.6, six seconds faster than the field and only four seconds off his personal best mark. His performance helped the Warhawks finish ninth out of 29 teams at the meet. Fassbender, a 2018 All-American, also claimed titles this season at the Tom Hoffman Invitational (Sept. 14) and the UW-Oshkosh Titan Fall Classic (Sept. 20).
