Braun finished first out of 62 runners to win the annual Tom Hoffman Invitational for the third year in a row on Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Cross Country Trails. Her time of 24:17.8 was nearly 17 seconds faster than the runner-up and 32 seconds faster than her mark last season. Braun’s performance helped UW-Whitewater top the seven-team field, winning by tiebreaker over Edgewood as three of the team’s top five runners finished higher than the Eagles’ top five finishers.
