Jaritt Shinhoster (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Barrington), Freshman, 174 Pounds
Shinhoster posted a 3-0 record with two pins and one major decision Saturday to win the 174-pounds Silver bracket at the season-opening Luther College Open in Decorah, Iowa. He started the day with a pin in one minute, 35 seconds, against Cornell's Jacob Sherzer, before pinning Dakota Vance of North Iowa Area Community College in four minutes, two seconds. Shinhoster closed the day with an 11-1 major decision over Kolton Bartow of Loras in the title bout to complete his Warhawk debut.
