Men’s Tennis – Doubles
Grant Thompson, Senior and Lucas Monterroso, Sophomore
Thompson and Monterroso teamed up for a 2-0 record in doubles to help UW-Whitewater finish 3-0 last week in Hilton Head Island, S.C. On Tuesday, the duo bested Nathan Cooper and Steven Zahui 8-3 at No. 2 doubles to help the Warhawks to a 5-4 triumph over Division II Erskine (S.C.). Two days later, Monterroso and Thompson edged Sean Carroll and Alex Pintilie 9-8 (3) at No. 3 doubles to pick up UW-Whitewater’s only doubles point and help the team to a 6-3 victory. The pair is now 5-1 playing together this season.
