Drew Patterson (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton), Junior, Running Back
Patterson posted 20 carries for 173 yards and three touchdowns to help the No. 23 Warhawks post a 36-3 victory over UW-Eau Claire on Saturday at Perkins Stadium. He also added a 39-yard reception on a screen pass in the first quarter that helped set up a field goal. On UW-Whitewater's final drive of the first half, Patterson completed an eight-play, 62-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown to put the team ahead 23-0. He began the third quarter with a 23-yard touchdown over the left side to increase the Warhawks' advantage to 30, and, on the second play of the third quarter, rumbled 82 yards for his third score of the game. The final touchdown run also put Patterson over 1,000 rushing yards for the season, his second straight year above the plateau. The run also gave the program a 1,000-yard rusher for the 14th consecutive season.
