Tony Gumina, Senior, Tight End

Gumina caught two passes for 32 yards, including a 28-yard touchdown in the first quarter, to help the Warhawks to a 14-0 victory over No. 23 UW-Stout in the team’s home opener on Saturday at Perkins Stadium. With no score late in the first, Gumina took a middle screen pass from Cole Wilber and ran untouched to the end zone to give UW-Whitewater a 7-0 advantage.  The touchdown was the ninth receiving score of his career and 10th touchdown overall. Gumina also added a four-yard catch on the first play of the fourth quarter and helped block for Drew Patterson, who finished with 110 rushing yards.
