Humphreys downed John Carswell of No. 7 Washington-St. Louis by a 6-1, 6-0 score at No. 1 singles as the 21st-ranked Warhawks nearly downed the Bears in a 5-4 setback on the road on Friday. He also teamed with Michael Treis (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield Central) for an 8-2 triumph at No. 1 doubles in the same match. An NCAA quarterfinalist in singles last season, Humphreys is 10-10 for the year playing at the top singles flight.
