Stringer topped a field of 32 competitors in the discus throw with a school record mark on Friday to help the 25th-ranked Warhawks place second at the 10-team Augustana (Ill.) Meet of Champions. Her result of 169-00 (51.51 meters) shattered the previous record by more than three feet and sent her to No. 1 in the nation in the event by more than 10 feet. Stringer, a two-time All-American in the discus, also finished ninth in the shot put with a 37-06.75 (11.45 meters).
