Bella Matthias (Greenfield, Wis./Greenfield), Freshman
Matthias tossed a pair of complete-game shutouts and allowed opponents to hit only .130 last week to help the No. 15 Warhawks to a 4-0 record to remain undefeated in WIAC play. In a 5-0 win over UW-Platteville on Wednesday at van Steenderen Softball Complex, she allowed only four hits and one walk while striking out four. Two days later, she surrendered only two hits and two walks and collected four strikeouts in a 7-0 triumph at UW-Stevens Point. Matthias is now 9-3 for the year and has thrown three straight shutouts and five for the season.
