Stringer finished among the top three in three throwing events and posted a national-leading mark in one of them Friday at the Rex Foster Invitational at Rex Foster Track in Whitewater. She won the discus throw with a toss of 157-11 (48.13 meters), good for the top result in the nation by seven inches. Stringer also finished second in the shot put with a 40-11.50 (12.48 meters), good for ninth in the conference, and third in the hammer throw with a 146-09 (44.74 meters).
