Nicholas Bonomo (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North), Freshman, 184 Pounds
Bonomo finished 5-1 with three pins and a technical fall to placed third at 184 pounds and help the No. 14 Warhawks win the two-day, 32-team Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Wheaton, Ill. His lone loss of the weekend came by decision against Montrail Johnson of Division II UW-Parkside, and his pin over seventh-seeded Rocco Hladney of Elizabethtown clinched the team tournament title for UW-Whitewater. Bonomo, who is now 25-6 with 11 pins for the season, is listed in the contender category of D3wrestle.com's latest rankings.
