Robert Starnes (Green Bay, Wis./Preble), Sophomore
Starnes won both the high jump and the long jump Friday night and shattered a 32-year-old school record to help the Warhawks place second at the North Central Cardinal Opener in Naperville, Ill. His mark of 7-00.25 (2.14m) in the high jump broke a record set in 1984 by more than one inch and is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation. Starnes also posted the nation's eighth-best result in the long jump with a 22-07.75 (6.90m). He is No. 1 in the WIAC in both events.
