Matt Adcock (Bloomingdale, Ill./Lake Park), Senior, 141 Pounds
Adcock, the nation's consensus No. 2 wrestler at 141 pounds, posted three victories, including two over other nationally ranked opponents, to help the No. 18 Warhawks finish 3-0 on Dec. 19 at the Gator "Boots" Duals in Nashville, Tenn. He recorded a 6-4 decision over No. 3 Jimmy Nehls (Downers Grove, IL/North) of Elmhurst (Ill.) and added a 5-4 decision over Mount Union's Jeremy Border, who is ranked seventh by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and eighth by D3wrestle.com. Adcock also tallied a 7-6 decision over Loras' Evan Weaver, who is listed as a "contender" by D3wrestle.com. Last week, he earned a berth to compete in Northwestern University's prestigious Ken Kraft Midlands Championships. Adcock faced a pair of Division I opponents at the tournament.
