Tom Gerszewski (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South), Senior
Gerszewski finished 3-0 to win the 165-pound championship Saturday at the Wisconsin Open at UW-Parkside. He recorded a fall with 4:00 on the clock in the quarterfinals, then earned a pair of close decisions en route to the title. Gerszewski defeated Lorenzo De La Riva by an 8-7 decision, and beat Kyle Jolas of Division II Lindenwood (Mo.) in a 5-3 decision. He is now 13-5 for the year.
