Strength and Conditioning Facilities

Weight Room 2011
The Williams Center Weight Room was built in 2001 and has over 8,000 square feet of weight training space on the main floor and an additional 2,500 square foot upper level cardio area with numerous bikes, stairclimbers, elipticals and treadmills.

Training for power is key for most of the UWW programs and takes place on 13 Olympic lifting platforms as well as an additional 12 multi-use power station.  Auxiliary strength training takes place with a full line of dumbbells up to 125 pounds and assorted machines and free weight equipment.

The Kachel Fieldhouse adjacent to the weight room is utilized for conditioning activities and contains a full 200 meter track encompassing four full basketball/tennis courts and over 50,000 square feet of room for speed, agility and plyometric training.

The Williams Center also houses Kachel Gymnasium home of the Warhawk Basketball teams and a separate Volleyball arena which give Warhawk athletes three options for areas to condition during the winter.

The outdoor fields are also utilized for conditioning during the spring, summer and fall and are well maintained and spacious for many activities to take place.

The facilities at UWW are first class and rival many division one programs.  They are a huge benefit to the athletic program and contribute to the Warhawk athletic success.
