The CoSIDA Capitol One program recognizes student athletes that excel in the classroom, in the community, and on the playing field.

Kiesow is a senior elementary education major with a 3.89 (4.0 scale) cumulative grade point.  He is a Karl and Doris Zahn Scholarship recipient, has earned UW-W's Student Athlete Achievement Award three years, is a multiple honoree on the Dean's List, and been on the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll three years. Kiesow participated in the Souls for Soles shoe drive during the 2009-2010 school year, and is a Bible study leader.   Kiesow was honored with the NCAA's Elite 88 Award for the highest grade point at a championship event, the Stagg Bowl, last year.  He is a two year starter at defensive back.

Rosholt, UW-W's punter for four years, is a senior physical education major with an emphasis in health education and special education.  He has a 3.77 cumulative GPA, attaining Dean's List honors each semester.  He has been on the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll three years and earned the UW-Whitewater Academic Achievement Award three times.  He received the Nishan Education Scholarship.  Rosholt participated in the Souls for Soles shoe drive, mustache May, Relay for Life, and Reading with the Warhawks.  He is also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a Bible study leader.

Both players were first team academic all-district picks, announced last month.   Players are nominated by their schools and placed on a ballot, first for all-district, then for All-America.  The recognition is not an automatic threshold, but a competitive ballot that sports information professionals nation-wide vote on.

Kiesow and Rosholt have been a part of four consecutive WIAC championship teams, with those teams also advancing championship game, the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, in the NCAA III playoffs in 2008, 2009 and 2010, winning national titles the last two years.  The duo is part of a senior class that has gone 56-2 overall, and 27-1 in the WIAC.

Rosholt and Kiesow join former teammate Aaron Rusch (Hartford/Hartford), who achieved the honor in 2010.

UW-W will open the 2011 NCAA playoffs Saturday, November 19, hosting Albion College for a 12:00 kickoff at Perkins Stadium.
