Demos Set High Jump Record in Home Opener

It was a coming out party for Shelby Demos (Janesville/Parker) in the first home meet of the indoor season for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's track and field team in Kachel Fieldhouse Friday night.  Demos, a freshman from Janesville/Parker, won the high jump and broke an eighteen year old record, then added first place in the 55 meter hurdles to her evening.  Demos' high jump mark also met National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III indoor championship provisional qualifying standards.
