Alex Lowe (Oswego, IL/Oswego) has become the men's all-time leader in the UW-Whitewater record book for most combined singles and doubles wins. Throughout his career, Lowe has complied an overall record of 166-79. Lowe surpassed former UW-W player Steve Klaas (Brookfield/Central) (163 wins, 2004-2007) to take over the top spot. The most career wins in UW-Whitewater's tennis history, men's or women's tennis, is held by Wendy Seymour (1988-92) with 174 total career wins.
Lowe's overall career singles record is 83-40, while his doubles record is 83-39. Lowe is mentioned in several categories in the Whitewater record book: fifth for wins at #1 singles (33), fourth for overall wins in all flights of singles (83), first in wins at #1 doubles (79, with Jordan Shilts 2006; Robin Borg (Stockholm, Sweden/Njudungs Tennis Academy), Erich Palecek (Franklin/Greendale) and Steve Klaas (Brookfield/Central) 2007; Robin Borg (Stockholm, Sweden/Njudungs Tennis Academy), Gianandrea Heyer (Lugano, Switzerland/Bellinzona HS) and Palacek 2008; Kelvin Caiati (Greendale/Greendale) 2009), the fourth best winning percentage at #1 doubles (.800%, 24-6), and third in career doubles wins (83).
Lowe helped guide the Warhawks to two National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III tournament appearance, making it to the third round in 2007 and second round in 2008.. As a freshman, he received the Rookie of the Year Award, sophomore year received the Most Dedicated Award, and junior year was named the Most Valuable Player for the Warhawks.
