UW-Whitewater was defeated by UW-La Crosse

Kaylyn Howley (Sheboygan/Sheboygan South) won the 500 freestyle to lead the Warhawks in a 181-57 loss to UW-La Crosse Saturday afternoon in the Williams Center pool in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

Howley touched in 5:29.87 in the 500.  She was also a member of the 200 medley relay team that swam a team season best of 1:55.70.  Howley was joined by Kristen Jahn (Wonderlake, IL/McHenry), Courtney Jenkins (Gurnee, IL/Gunee), and Randi Osgood (Muskego/Muskego) to finish third in the 200 medley relay with a team season best time of 1:55.70.

Jenkins was one of two Warhawks to earn a second place finish.  She was the runner-up in the 200 individual medley in 2:17.99, another team season best.  The other second place came from Michelle Doyle (Franklin/Greendale) in the 100 backstroke in 1:06.85.

Megan Kohnke (Milwaukee/Riverside) picked up two team season bests, timed in 26.12 in the 50 freestyle and 55.98 in the 100 free.  She finished third in both events.

UW-W's next competition will be the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship Thursday-Saturday, February 19-21 at the Schroeder Aquatic Brown Deer.
