Race Summary
Power houses North Central and UW-La Crosse did not dissapoint as they finished 1st and 2nd respectively. However, UW-La Crosse had a very dissapointing team race, finishing no where close to North Central in the team scores. Third place team Washington University was the surprise team of the meet entering ranked 9th regionally and being unranked nationally. They were almost able to upset perennial power UW-La Crosse. UW-Platteville had a solid team showing to back up their 8th place national ranking to finish fourth in the field. The battle for fifth was as close as it has been in recent memory as four teams competed for the fifth and final possible berth. A mere 12 points seperated the next four teams as UW-Eau Claire edged out UW-Stevens Point (6th), Augustana College (7th), and UW-Whitewater (8th). UW-River Falls and the University of Chicago rounded out the top ten.
