The Warhawks men's cross country team, ranked 30th according to the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, finished sixth of 35 teams Saturday at the Brooks Inviational held at Winneconne's Lake Breeze Golf Course.

The top three teams were North Central College (22), UW-Stevens Point (97) and Augustana (151). The Warhawks came in sixth (186).
Four UW-W runners finished in the top 50 out of the 551 competitors. Whitewater was led by
Dan Machmueller (Milwaukee/West Allis Hale) who finished 17th with a time of 24:54. Just four seconds back, coming in 19th was
Aron Kehoe (Monroe/Monroe) at 24:58.
Mathias Werve (Kenosha/Tremper) crossed the finish line at 25:13 in 32nd and
Jon Fink (Muskego/Wisconsin Lutheran) recorded a time of 25:24 to take 44th.
UW-W is scheduled to run in the Badger Ridge Run in Madison Saturday, October 24. The Warhawks will return home to host the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meet on Saturday, October 31.
