Nicole Hoida was the UW-Whitewater gymnastics team's first-ever National Collegiate Gymnastics Association national champion, claiming top honors on the balance beam in 2000. The Mukwonago, Wis., native was a three-time NCGA national qualifier overall, placing 17th in the all-around competition in 1999 and 17th on the balance beam in 2001. Hoida was tabbed WIAC Gymnast of the Week on Feb. 14-20, 2000, and is part of several of the program's top 20 performances when only four scores were counted. She is a part of the No. 1 team balance beam and floor exercise scores, the No. 2 vault score and the No. 4 score on the uneven parallel bars. A member of the 2001-02 WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Hoida graduated with a degree general business.
