Lisa McManus Kemps was recognized at both the conference level and the national level during her career with the UW-Whitewater gymnastics team from 1999-2002. The Milwaukee native and Thomas More High School graduate is the program's first-ever Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion, winning the balance beam as a senior in 2002. The first four-year national qualifier in program history, Kemps collected All-America honors in 2000 after placing ninth in the all-around competition at the national meet. She is a part of numerous top 20 performances for all event team scores when only four scores were counted. Kemps graduated with a degree in psychology in 2003.
