University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Athletics

Harold Smith played football for UW-W from 1955-1958, earning four letters.  He was the team MVP and an Wisconsin State University Conference pick in 1957.  Smith, who attended Whitewater High School, earned his degree in education from UW-W in 1958.  He also completed a master’s degree at the University of Illinois in 1962.  He worked in education, including twenty-three years in Wisconsin Dells, before retiring in 1994.  He still lives in Wisconsin Dells and operates a motel business.
